Week 10

This past week in Ism has been quite busy. We had to research assessments to do last week which I actually got a lot of good information out of. I finally pieced the two together and decided to start learning about SEL and addiction correlations. I found really great articles about School talking about how teaching SEL is preventing addiction all on its own. But it’s also in bettering our communities. I didn’t really know about that so learning about that this past week has been really really cool. I did my interview assessment of the meeting that I sat in on and I’m going to send that to my mentor this week. I am presenting my speech this week about my research so far and I am a little bit nervous. I am actually very excited though because I feel like I just have so much good information to share. I know eight minute seems like a long time but I really do feel like I have so much more content than the time won’t even allow me to present. My plan for this upcoming week is to really focus on my speech and focus on getting that done and also to really start making a base model for the curriculum that I’m trying to create. I’m going to try to reach out to several curriculum writers this week and maybe try to get a meeting with them regarding my original work.
